There are a few ways you can make your Board match your site’s styles. First, decide whether you want to start with a blank canvas, or use Boomerang’s built-in styles. Unless you are a web designer proficient in CSS, we suggest sticking with Boomerang’s built-in styles, which is set by default.
Layout #
We currently provide two layouts for your board, a horizontal and a vertical layout. Where your site uses a full or large width design, we recommend the horizontal layout as this will space the items out better. Don’t worry – Boomerang is fully responsive, so on tablets and smartphones, the layout will revert to vertical anyway.
To swap the layout type, head to Appearance > Customise > Boomerang > Boomerang Directory > Layout.
Colors #
You can set an accent color too. This color will be used for buttons, links, borders and lots of other things. It will most likely match the color you are already using for these things on your site. To set this color, head to Appearance > Customise > Boomerang > Boomerang Global Styles > Primary Color.
On the same screen you will see Private Note Color. This will be used to help identify elements of Boomerang that are private. These are only seen by Boomerang Managers. You can set this to any color different to the Primary Color at this point.
Width #
Some style settings are configured on the Boards themselves. One example is the width. By default, this is set to 100%, so Boomerang will try to fill any container you put it in. However, if you need to limit its width explicitly, you can do so by heading into your Board, then General Settings, then Container Width.
