Sometimes you receive two or more Boomerangs that are very similar, if not the same. To prevent this from happening, we recommend turning on Suggested Boomerangs which will show a list of similar Boomerangs as a user types into the title bar. However, when this doesn’t catch duplicates, you can merge.
Merging starts in the admin panel. Click the merge button and you will see a popup.
Next, use the dropdown to select the Boomerang you want to merge with.
Important: the Boomerang in the dropdown will be the primary Boomerang
When you click submit, the following actions take place:
- The votes from the merged Boomerang will be added to the primary Boomerang
- Any comments from the merged Boomerang will be added to the primary Boomerang
- The merged Boomerang will be hidden from other users (but remains visible to managers with a banner notification)
